Play-doh

Ian was so bored today. Who wouldn't be after such an eventful weekend (see previous post)? So we busted out these cookie cutters that I have had since my bridal shower. Thanks Molly! Ian played for two hours, he never sticks with an activity that long. We are going to make edible peanut butter play-doh tomorrow. I took a picture of the R and 4 because it is Ian's favorite letter and number. He is seriously obsessed with them.
Here is the recipe for play dough.
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup corn syrup
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1 cup or more dry milk
Mix peanut butter and corn syrup, add sugar and mix well. Add dry milk a little at a time until stiff enough to handle.

I have a container of 101 cookie cutters. When we get the play-doh out Xander has to use every single one of them. Will you send me the recipe for the edible stuff? That sounds like fun.

I'm jealous that you guys all got to be together at my mom's this weekend. Olivia & Kai are so cute. Amelia loves play dough too. Just wait until your carpet starts changing colors from it. Oh ya, I tried to call you on Friday. I made a fool out of myself because I thought Kelsee was you. I was calling to tell you about Mystere. SO AWESOME!! I would highly recommend it. Tickets are half off right now. I think until May. ONly $40 a ticket. Well worth it. I guess you'l have to come visit again.

That looks like so much fun. Do you remember when Mom would make us the play dough? We played with it forever too.

I tried making PB playdough yesterday and it didn't work very well. Will you send me your recipe? Or just post it, since it seems like it is in high demand!

How fun. We love play-doh, too. I was just laughing about the Austin Powers comment you made. I realize it was awhile ago that you wrote it but I just read it again. So, we were crazy back then. It's sad that that is the movie that brings back such funny memories of high school. Remeber 50 point turns in front of your house? Good Times!!!

Playdough is a swear word to my husband... so I have a secret stash of it that I sneak out for the kids to play with when he isn't around! Hee hee! As for the edible playdough recipe you posted, I used to make it for my kids when they were little, then we'd freeze the shapes in the freezer to eat later. They (& me) loved it!

I have made that play dough before. I think I ate more than what the kids played with.
