Hurray, we have internet!!! I have missed the blogging world, in a weird way blogging makes me feel closer to home even though I live so far away. We have been in Michigan for one week and so far so good, I guess. We LOVE our apartment but I don't like the price of it. I guess if you want quiet, cute, and safe you have to pay for it. It is much cooler here than Utah; it almost doesn't feel like summer to me. It is beautiful and green here and I love that. It has rained nearly every day we have been here, but only for a minute or two.
My parents went on a east coast trip and were able to swing over to Michigan for three days and we had so much fun! They watched the kids for a day while Mike and I went over to Lake Michigan and enjoyed a date. We have our own little ocean that is just 90 miles away from us. If anyone visits us that is a must see. On Sunday we enjoyed our new ward and everyone was so nice! I think we are going to like our ward a lot. After church we went on a river walk, it was pretty in its own way. After my parents left, and it was so hard to say bye, we went to a park just a couple of miles from us called Hawk Island. Hawk Island has many fun things to do. There is a small lake with a life guard, a splash pad, a playground, a place to rent little boats, a running/walking path, and lots of grass to run around on. We all love this place and plan to spend many days there. Overall we are adjusting and hope to enjoy our experience to the fullest.
Saying good bye to Grandma and Grandpa, the kids miss you and so do we.
We miss EVERYONE so bad and hope to get lots of visitors.

Just so you know, it is unseasonably cool here right now. Wait until the humidity picks back up.

What an exciting adventure for you guys - Michigan! It's hard to be so far away from family, but it looks like you guys are finding ways to enjoy your time. You guys look great - good luck as you embark on this new and exciting stage in life!
I am glad to see you made it! IT will take you a little to adjust. But you will fall in love with your family. Being that far away you realize how much they mean to you. If you need to talk I am always here. Your little family will grow closer then you ever thought was posible. Good luck and just enjoy!
Looks like such a great place! Good luck with everything!

Michigan looks so pretty!! and all the fun things look like a BLAST!! i heard it's so cold in the winter time!
Wow! Michigan. Enjoy and do EVERYTHING you can while you're there. Time flies and you'll be on to the next state before you know it.
We lived in FL and figured we'd be there for YEARS - so we took our time. Never went on a cruise, never went to Miami, the keys, Disney World, Daytona or the Everglades.... Make your memories today. :)
