At the Hospital

Here's the story...My Doctor told me to go to the hospital Thursday evening. I called the hospital and they said they were short-staffed and they would call me when I could go in. I got a call at 2:30a.m. and off I went. They first gave me cervidil and they said I would have to keep it in for twelve hours. So I didn't think I would actual get started on pitocin until 4p.m. My doctor checked me at 12:30 and said I could go ahead and get started! So at 1:00 I was on the pitocin, my Doctor broke my water at 2:30, and got an epidural at 3:00. I was dialated to a 5 and thought we had awhile til I was fulling dilated so Michael headed home to do a few things. In the meantime my contractions were getting strong and my babies heart rate would drop at the peak of the contraction. The nurse was getting kind of concerned so she turned off the pitocin and called the doctor in. As the doctor was checking things out I had a big contraction and felt the urge to push. The doctor checked me as Michael walked through the door and said I was ready to start pushing. Thank goodness Michael showed up when he did because I only pushed for 5 mins and my big baby was born at 4:40p.m. Michael nearly missed the whole thing.

















We are completely in love with this boy! I can't believe we have THREE kids!
