Ian's first day of school started at seven when he heard our alarm clock. I told Mike to hit the snooze button but Ian was in our room before I could shut my eyes again; he was excited to start his big day. He ate breakfast, got dressed, watched cartoons, and still had a half-hour til we needed to leave. I took Ian to school--it's only across the street--then came in the house and cried. I missed that little boy all day, and Olivia did too. She kept saying, "I'm so boring, what should be do?" Finally, three o'clock came around and we went out to meet the bus. I almost cried again, seeing my cute little boy get off, but didn't want to embarrass him in front of the other kids. It was such a special moment seeing him start a new chapter in is life. When we got in the house, I demanded a hug, and then he told me all about his day. He enjoyed hot-lunch, he likes who he sits by in class, he molded clay for art, and he doesn't like to ride the bus because there are lots of big kids and they are so loud. He has no idea that from now until he is thirty he will be in school, just like his dad. Poor kid. :)

He looks so old in those pictures!
What a fun time in life & sad at the same time! He does look so old though. (:
Oh my! That is too precious..I love that kid of yours. Love his face in that first pic too. He is getting big..sorry you cried when he left. That made me sad. Give him a big kiss on the cheek for me :)
Cordie I could feel what you were discribing. I would of cried too if I would of been there experiencing it for myself. I'm very excited for him and scared at the same time. Now I have to worry when the grandkids are in school. He is growing up so fast; wow almost 6. Just keep those babies coming so you'll always have little ones. JK. I can't wait to see him, Livs, and William soon... you and Mike too.
He is the cutest boy! That is great how excited he is about school. I'm going to be there in less than 1 year. I'm pretty sure that i won't be able to hold back the tears when Josh starts kindergarten next year! Good luck with 3 kids! Looks like you are going to have 2 great little helpers!
